Trained as film editor, Bessie Baudin choose to form helself on movie set as a light techncian and formed herself on movies’ fields. At the end on 2009, she participated to a lot of film projects. It was then obvious to step into photography
At the end of 2013, Bessie Baudin was videographer and photograph free lance : advertisements, documentary editings, photographic works…
Known companies like La cité du Cinéma called her to work for prestigious providers. Orders for pictures and events succeeded.
Many high schools asked Bessie to be their teacher to train a young next generation of movie makers. So she teached the future bachelors how to build their project and prepare their shooting like professionals.
At the same time, she built many photographic exhibitions : « Allegories », « Celestes », « Nébuleuses ». Bessie made also exhibitions in gallery or festivals. Her projects usually are atypical requiring often a whole cinema team a legacy of her first life of as lighting technician.
Now Bessie is the leader of the « collectif du Hérisson » that she founded to promote and bring together many talented photographers.
Between the discovering of new and emerging talents, invitation of world known photographs and the organisation of international contests, Bessie Baudin became the gallery owner of the collective.
She now represents famous street artists in events, enlarging even more her horizon to pictorial art.
Full time jury of contests, she is always in search of new talents.
Partie d’une formation de monteuse, Bessie Baudin s’est très vite orientée vers la lumière. Fin 2009, elle enchaîne ainsi les tournages ; la voilà « électro ». Il n’y a plus qu’un pas à franchir pour passer à la photographie.
Fin 2013, Bessie est vidéaste et photographe free lance : publicités, montage de documentaires, travaux photographiques… De grandes sociétés comme La Cité du Cinéma font appel à elle pour des prestataires prestigieux. Les commandes images et animations évènementielles s’enchaînent.
De nombreuses écoles demandent à Bessie de transmettre ses connaissances à ceux qui, peut-être, prendront un jour la relève. Ainsi, va-t-elle lycée en lycée, pour enseigner aux futurs bacheliers comment structurer leur projet et préparer leur tournage à la manière des pros.
Parallèlement, les expositions photographiques se suivent. « Allégories », « Celestes », « Nébuleuses », Bessie expose aussi bien en galeries qu’en festivals. Ses projets sont atypiques, ambitieux, nécessitant bien souvent une équipe de cinéma au complet, héritage de sa première vie d’électro.
Aujourd’hui, Bessie est à la tête du « Collectif du Hérisson » qu’elle a fondé afin de rassembler et promouvoir de nombreux artistes photographes.
Entre découverte de talents émergents, invitations de grands photographes de renom et organisations de concours internationaux, Bessie Baudin est devenue la galeriste du collectif. Elle représente même d’illustres artistes du Street Art, ouvrant toujours plus son horizon du l’art pictural. Jury à part entière des concours, elle part toujours à la recherche de nouveaux artistes.
